He’s an embarrassment to the country and the human race . It’s one thing after another with this yahoo. Everyone’s mood is awful; you notice it at work , out grocery shopping and many other places. Citizens dread each day, not knowing what idiocy is going to be foisted on them. And his cult following is even worse.

When the Congress will say nothing, do nothing for fear of losing favor and losing election there remains only two branches of government. And when the highest court is owned by the President and will do nothing out of his favor- to the point of even resurrecting Roe v. Wade- it begins to look like we have but one branch of government. You know, a dictatorship. What else can you call it?

Remember that Supreme Court judges have life terms, and therefore have no allegiance to the president.

Trump is not just destroying America but he has his fingers in most countries due to his ability to weaponise tariffs

An entertaining read, on a worrying subject. But…where’s the solution?

My feed is full of ‘Trump can’t DO this!’ rants, but few say how it all could be stopped, never mind reversed.

Any ideas?…

I'm afraid I've no solution Alan. Few people have.

The simplest answer is the Democrats need to win the midterms. Beyond that, there's nothing. Protests and the like are probably counterproductive at this point; if you're trying to peel off people who could be sick of/angry at/disappointed by Trump, adding *more* chaos is probably not the best political strategy. Expecting the GOP Congress to stand up is obviously delusional.

Although what I fear people are somehow not anticipating is that *if* the Democrats win the midterms, we will spend the ensuing 18-24 months in a constitutional crisis as Trump and his cabinet insist that the elections were rigged. The odds of a Democrat member not being seated in January 2027 are way, way higher than anyone seems to be thinking.

These comments from afar ought to be read and understood by USA voters. We are in big trouble here if we do not stand up for the rule of law as intended by our founders.

As John Adams said about the Constitution, “It is made for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.” While many of my fellow Americans might like to pretend they are moral and religious, the fact is at least 40% of them are just fine with the kakistokracy they’ve put into power. At least 20% of the rest aren’t paying any attention to anything that doesn’t involve celebrities, leaving maybe 40% who are divided into various opposition camps who can’t stop fighting among themselves long enough to keep us from going over a cliff. “It’s going to get worse before it gets better.” I’m sure of the former, but not sure of the latter.
