We've all been there: engrossed in something racy on social media or even the Oireachtas website while we were meant to be tackling constituency work, so lost in doom scrolling that we accidentally "like" something we didn't intend to. Unfortunately for you, someone might see your like in their feed and, well, let you know all about it. But they will probably tell a journalist first.

Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan, the Midlands Northwest MEP did have his Twitter account hacked. Diarmuid Hayes, 34, from Dublin, was convicted in a Belgian court of posting a Tweet from Ming Flanagan's account that referred to former Irish Green Party candidate Saoirse McHugh and "skinny dipping". Needless to say, when the tweet was sent, everyone who was waiting in the long grass for Ming came for him. Ming was cancelled but like the risen Christ was vindicated yesterday. Also, like Jesus, Ming can usually be seen riding a donkey through the villages of his vast constituency on Sundays.
