It’s an election year and there’ll probably be a general election to come on top of the Local and European elections. So I went and had a look at the digital spending habits of our political big spenders.

The main takeaway is, that if Sinn Fein is as flagrant with taxpayers’ money as they are with their own, then Ireland will be bankrupt in no time.

So far in 2024, Sinn Fein has spent almost €70,000 on digital advertising (META and Google). Fine Gael has spent almost €10,000, Fianna Fail €13,000, Labour Party €6,000, and Social Democrats just over €2,000. The Green Party is spending even less than the Social Democrats.
